Ashok Leyland's September sales plunge 55%

Ashok Leyland Ltd on Tuesday reported a 55 percent drop in sales in September as compared to sales logged during the corresponding month in last year.

In a statement, the company said it sold a total of 8,780 units last month, down from 19,374 units sold in September 2018.

Earlier Tuesday, Maruti Suzuki India, reported a 24.4 percent decline in total vehicle sales in September at 122,640 units, compared to 162,290 units the company sold in the same month last year.
