Overall vehicle registrations for November are up 29 percent on a month-on-month (MoM) basis.

Vinkesh Gulati, President of the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA), said 100cc segment in the two-wheeler space is seeing the biggest demand pressure.
“I feel the major segment is 100cc if you dissect the two-wheeler industry. That is where the challenge is the biggest. It has been supported by issues like work-from-home and school-from-home,” he said in an interview with CNBC-TV18.
According to Gulati, it is a mixed bag this time in the overall auto sector numbers. “Improved on a MoM basis but on a festive-on-festive basis overall we are down by 4.74 percent,” he said.
“We are seeing a double-digit growth in passenger vehicle (PV) which is around 13.6 percent.”
On two-wheeler and three-wheeler segment, he said, “The two-wheeler segment improved but still is in red. We were expecting two-wheeler also to come back to a green point. The challenge is still there on the three-wheeler segment which we feel that it will continue for some more time.”
In terms of commercial vehicle (CV) side, he said, “CV sales have improved but still the freight and the overall economy not being good has kept the truck market down which is the biggest segment in the CV.”
