She has a vast experience of covering economic policy, finance, investments and international relations and areas of direct consumer impact.
Timsy enjoys reporting on India’s tax policies and tracks the country’s Income Tax and Goods and Services Taxes regime closely.
She has also extensively reported on investigation and enforcement matters.
Over a decade and a half long career gives Timsy an edge when analyzing political-economic developments as she spends large parts of her day in the corridors of North Block and various other ministries.
Since the pandemic, Timsy has widened her range reporting first on Covid-19 vaccines, vaccination drive and the government’s efforts across the ministries of health, pharma and science and technology to curb the pandemic.
In 2022, Timsy was awarded e4m 40under40 for English Journalism, a category which picked India’s top 40 journalists for their contribution in the world of news and journalism for their exemplary performance.
A student of Convent of Jesus & Mary School in New Delhi, she graduated in English (Hons) at Delhi University’s Lady Shri Ram College.
She also has a Masters diploma in Journalism.
