Farmers complain Rs 2,000 deposited in accounts as part of PM-Kisan withdrawn: report
More than 1000 farmers in Maharashtra have complained that the amount deposited into their bank accounts as part of PM-Kisan scheme was withdrawn without their consent, reported BusinessLine.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched the PM-Kisan scheme on Sunday, transferring the first tranche of Rs 2000 to around 1.2 crore farmers.
However, Ashok Lahamage, a farmer from Nashik, received a message a few hours later conveying that the deposited money was debited, said the report, which also consists of the screenshots of the text messages.
“Since Sunday I’m trying to find what went wrong. But nobody has an answer. Bank officials asked me to mail their Mumbai head office. But till date I have got no answer,” Ashok Lahamage was quoted as saying in the report. Others too reported similar cases, the report added.
According to the report, the Nanded district administration claimed that this was due to some technical problem and will be soon be solved.
