The Rs 20 lakh crore stimulus announced by the government has been kind on the power sector. The sector looks like one of the biggest beneficiaries in terms of liquidity to the distribution companies (DISCOMs) and even the privatization of DISCOMs in Union Territories.

However, is it really going to solve the immediate crisis situation for the sector or will the cash crunch become unsustainable? Will it be a compelling investment for the investors?
