Xiaomi, which has reinvented itself as a Smartphone x AIoT brand, has expanded its ecosystem with the launch of the 360 Home Security Camera 2K. This smart surveillance camera, equipped with a 3-megapixel camera and 2K HD video capabilities, caters primarily to new parents and pet owners.
The Xiaomi 360 Home Security Camera 2K boasts features such as AI Human Detection, ensuring precise alerts for human activity and minimising false alarms triggered by pet movements; a 360-degree Panorama View, facilitated by a 6P lens, eliminating blind spots and capturing every corner of the room; Full Colour in low-light conditions capability, enhancing nighttime surveillance, delivering vivid and detailed footage even in challenging lighting conditions, the company said in a press release.
The camera supports both standard and inverted mounting for flexible installation. With 360-degree horizontal movement and 108-degree vertical movement, it provides an extensive coverage range. The inclusion of two-way audio enables real-time communication through the camera, enhancing its utility, Xiaomi added.
Boasting a 2K resolution, the Xiaomi 360 Home Security Camera 2K produces sharper and more detailed video footage, surpassing standard HD quality. This makes it an ideal choice for various applications, including small businesses, shops, garages, and home monitoring. The camera's feed can be monitored through the Xiaomi Home App, allowing users to playback captured footage on multiple devices, including smartphones, tablets, and desktops. The optimised H.265 Video encoding reduces video storage space by 50%.
The camera further offers voice-controlled smart home functionality with seamless integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

The Xiaomi 360 Home Security Camera 2K is currently available for purchase at ₹3,299 exclusively on Mi.com. Starting January 22, it will also be accessible through leading online platforms, including Amazon.in and Flipkart.
