vivo, the smartphone brand, on Monday said the second edition of the 'vivo Ignite: Technology and Innovation Awards' in India received an impressive response. In a press release, the company said the tech and innovation competition, open to students from Grades 8 to 12, has garnered over 4000 projects spanning Science, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning.
With over 19,000 registrations globally, the grand finale is scheduled for February 10 in Delhi and features prizes totalling 30 lakh. The top 25 ideas stand a chance to receive research, incubation, or start-up support from iHUB DivyaSampark at IIT Roorkee.

The first phase, which commenced on November 25, 2023, required students to submit a poster and a brief outlining their ideas, previously unrecognised. A jury evaluated these entries, shortlisting 200 students (50 from each zone) for the second phase.
