realme's upcoming offerings, the 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro+, have reportedly been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification site. The models in question, RMX3842 and RMX3840, have not only fueled anticipation for the devices' imminent launch but have also hinted at their arrival in the Indian market.
Adding to the intrigue, the realme 12 Pro+ also made an appearance on Indonesia's SDPPI certification site, sharing the same model number RMX3840. The 12 Pro is also said to be associated with the said model number.
Despite the certifications providing minimal insights into the devices' specifications, it's widely speculated that Realme is gearing up for a significant release soon.
Rumours suggest that the 12 Pro series will be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. A 32MP telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom on the Realme 12 Pro is also expected. Meanwhile, its counterpart, the realme 12 Pro+, is rumoured to boast a 64MP periscope telephoto lens, featuring 3x optical zoom. The camera layout itself is likely to be circular, housing the lenses.
In terms of pricing, leaks suggest that the Realme 12 Pro is anticipated to come with a price tag of 2,099 yuan (approximately ₹25,000) in China for the 12GB RAM and 256GB model.
The timeline for the realme 12 lineup is expected to unfold in the first quarter of 2024. The launch event is projected to take place first in China, followed by the devices debuting in global markets, including India.
