OnePlus joins user security coalition App Defense Alliance

OnePlus becomes the first OEM to join the App Defense Alliance, aiming to enhance user privacy and device security through robust features and collaboration, the company said.

Consumer tech giant OnePlus on Tuesday announced that it has joined the App Defense Alliance (ADA), becoming the first Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) to engage with the security coalition. The ADA, as per its website, is "focused on protecting users by preventing threats from reaching their devices and improving app quality across the ecosystem".
OnePlus said with this move, the company aims to safeguard user privacy and fortify device security.
Kinder Liu, President and COO of OnePlus, said, "As a brand driven by community values, user privacy and information security stand as integral pillars of OnePlus products. Our association with ADA is a testament to our commitment to these principles."
