Consumer tech giant HP has unveiled plans to retail Poly — it communication portfolio — products through over 750 HP World Stores across India in the forthcoming weeks. This development marks the first time Poly products will be readily available to retail consumers, signaling a strategic shift in the distribution of premium audio devices.
The introduction of Poly products in HP World Stores follows HP's acquisition of Poly, formerly known as Plantronics & Polycom, a workplace collaboration solutions provider, for $3.3 billion in 2022. This move aims to provide Indian consumers with top-tier audio devices "renowned for their ability to augment communication and productivity experiences", HP said in a press release.
The range of Poly products set to hit the shelves of HP World Stores includes earbuds, wired headsets, wireless speakerphones, wired speakerphones, and wireless headsets.
Currently, Poly products are already accessible in over 130 HP World Stores across India, with plans underway to rapidly expand availability to more than 750 stores in the near future. To further incentivise consumers, Poly products within HP World Stores are being offered at discounted prices, making premium audio solutions more financially attainable.
Among the discounted offerings are the Poly Voyager 5200 Mono Wireless Headset, originally priced at ₹15,485, now available at ₹8,699. Similarly, the Poly Voyager Free 60 Carbon Black Earbuds, priced at ₹. 29,676, are now available at ₹19,099. Additionally, the Poly Blackwire C5220 UC USB-A wired headset, Poly Sync 20 wired speakerphone, Poly Voyager Focus 2 UC headset, and Poly Voyager 4320-M UC headset are all being offered at substantial discounts.
