The International Cricket Council has finalised Dallas, Florida and New York as the three cities in the U.S. that will hosts the matches of the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup.
ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardice was delighted to announce the venues for the biggest-ever T20 World Cup,
“We’re delighted to announce the three USA venues that will host part of the biggest ICC Men’s T20 World Cup ever staged, with 20 teams competing for the trophy. The USA is a strategically important market and these venues give us an excellent opportunity to make a statement in the world’s biggest sport market.” Allardice said.
Grand Prairie in Dallas, Broward County in Florida and Nassau County in New York will be the venues for these cricket games.
The 2024 T20 World Cup is the first-time that US will be co-hosting a cricket World Cup as the country is set to welcome the teams along with the Caribbean Islands.
Giving USA the co-hosting rights for the 2024 T20 World Cup is another step in pushing the sport in the country. The country saw its first T20 league, the Major League Cricket, being successfully held this year.
