Australian all-rounder Cameron Green wrote to his new Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) family after a major trade-off that happened between Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans. Mumbai Indians brought back Hardik Pandya in an all-cash deal and traded off all-rounder Cameron Green to RCB ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 player auction.
Green was locked by MI for a whopping Rs 17.5 crore at the auction last December and featured in 16 matches. After the final confirmation about the 17-hour-long trade meeting that took place between the higher officials of both franchises, Green posted a video for his new IPL family.
"Hey RCB fans, it is Cam Green here, I am excited to join Andy Flower (the team's head coach). I can't wait to see you guys at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, cheers," said Green in a video by RCB.
MI freed up their purse for the December 19 player auction in Dubai by sending Australian all-rounder Cameron Green to the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in another all-cash deal. MI paid GT ₹ 15 crore, which was Pandya's salary, in addition to a transfer fee that they will have to disclose to the IPL. Pandya stands to gain 50% from the additional aforementioned fee, as part of an agreement with GT.
