After reporting a decent set of Q2 earnings, Godrej Consumer Products, on Monday said it expects double-digit volume growth in H2.
In an interview to CNBC-TV18, Vivek Gambhir, managing director and chief executive officer, said Godrej Consumer Products continue to focus on driving profitable sales growth and margin expansion.
Gambhir further said the second half to be better than first half of the year.
Talking about business, he said, "Across the board, soaps, hair colours, air fresheners and insecticides should deliver stronger performance in the second half of the year. The overall demand environment continues to improve particularly in rural India."
“For us, in rural India the uptick was much stronger than in urban India. As long as the momentum in consumer demand continues, we are hopeful of a stronger performance in the second half of the year,” Gambhir said.
