Savitri Jindal, India's richest woman, joins BJP ahead of Lok Sabha polls

On March 24, her son and former Congress MP Naveen Jindal joined the saffron party and he was named as the party's candidate from Kurukshetra Lok Sabha seat in Haryana.

India's richest woman Savitri Jindal on Thursday, March 28, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. She joined the saffron party in presence of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, former chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar and other BJP leaders.
Her daughter Seema Jindal Jajodia has also joined the saffron party today.

Former Haryana minister Jindal quit the Congress on March 27. "I represented the people of Hisar for 10 years as an MLA and have served Haryana state selflessly as a minister. The people of Hisar are my family and on the advice of my family, I am resigning from the primary membership of the Congress today," she said.
