The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Sunday revised the date of counting of votes for elections to state legislative assemblies of Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim to June 2.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Sunday revised the date of counting of votes for elections to the state legislative assemblies of Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim to June 2. The two states will vote on April 19.
"...The term of house of both the Legislative Assemblies of Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim is due to expire on June 2, 2024. In view of this, the Commission has decided to amend the following in respect of Schedule for General Election to State Legislative Assemblies of Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim..." the ECI said in a statement.
The counting of votes for Lok Sabha elections in both states remains on June 4, as announced earlier on Saturday.
