A second term for the BJP is definitely on the cards, feels Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said the election losses suffered by the party in over five states through 2018 cannot be taken as a template of what will happen in the 2019 general elections. "15 years of anti-incumbency was being fought by our people... In Haryana local polls we won all, Tripura there was 90-95 percent victory, Jammu Kashmir 74 percent polling took place and in many of those the BJP won. Winning or losing is not the only yardstick," he said.
PM Modi also turned detractions that the 'Modi Magic' was fading. "I wish to thank the people who say this... I am happy that they accept, that there is a 'Modi Wave' or 'Modi Magic', he said.
The Prime Minister added that he is confident the work his government has done -- from Make In India, to GST, to Demonetisation -- has shown that the government means business, and is working towards the betterment of the aam aadmi.
