ITC | Diversified entity on Monday reported a 10.8% year-on-year increase in net profit at ₹5,572.1 crore for the third quarter that ended December 31, 2023. The company's revenue from operations increased 1.6% to ₹16,483.3 crore against ₹16,225.7 crore in the corresponding period of the preceding fiscal.
Bajaj Finance | The company on Monday reported a consolidated net profit of ₹3,638.95 crore for the December quarter led by healthy loan growth. The net profit was up by about 22% over the previous year's profit of ₹2,973 crore. The non-bank finance major's net interest income grew 25% on a year-on-year basis to ₹9,293 crore for the quarter.
NTPC | State-owned on Monday reported a 7.3% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit at ₹5,208.9 crore for the third quarter that ended December 31, 2023. The company's consolidated revenue from operations declined 4% to ₹42,820.4 crore as against ₹44,601.8 crore in the corresponding period of the preceding fiscal.
Vodafone Idea | Telecom operator reported a net loss of ₹6,985.9 crore for the third quarter. The company's revenue from operations increased 0.49% to ₹10,673 crore against ₹10,621 crore in the corresponding period of the preceding fiscal. EBITDA increased 4.1% to ₹4,180 crore in the third quarter of this fiscal over ₹4,350 crore in the corresponding period in the previous fiscal.
Piramal Enterprises | The financial services arm of the Piramal Group on Monday reported a consolidated net loss of ₹2,377.6 crore for the third quarter that ended December 31, 2023. The exceptional loss of ₹3,339.8 crore has to do with its investments in alternative investment funds. In the corresponding quarter last year, Piramal Enterprises posted a net profit of ₹3,545.4 crore.
Marico | FMCG major on Monday reported a 15.9% year-on-year rise in net profit at ₹386 crore for the third quarter that ended December 31, 2023. In the corresponding quarter last year, Marico posted a net profit of ₹333 crore. The company's revenue from operations declined 1.9% to ₹2,422 crore against ₹2,470 crore in the corresponding period of the preceding fiscal.
GAIL | State-owned gas utility on Monday signed a long-term LNG purchase agreement with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) Gas. The agreement is for the purchase of around 0.5 MMTPA LNG from ANDOC Gas. Under this agreement, deliveries will commence from 2026 onwards for a duration of 10 years.
KEC International | Engineering firm on Monday said it has secured orders worth Rs 1,304 crore across various businesses. In the transmission and distribution segment, the company secured projects in India, SAARC, and the Americas. The company secured 765 kV transmission lines and 765 kV GIS Substation orders in India, from Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.
CSB Bank | Private lender on Monday posted a 4% decline in its profit at ₹150 crore in the third quarter ended December 2023. The total income increased to ₹887 crore during the quarter under review, as against ₹682 crore in the same period last year. The interest income of the bank rose to ₹762 crore, as against ₹592 crore in the third quarter of the previous year.
