In the wake of incessant downpours, severe thunderstorms, and waterlogging, Uttar Pradesh is grappled with a dual challenge - a rising toll of lives lost and widespread disruptions to daily life. Over the past 24 hours, an additional nine lives have succumbed to the fury of nature, adding to the already grim toll of 19 from the previous day's downpour. Heavy rains have disrupted daily life, affecting everything from transportation to education in several districts of the state for last two days. This has not only affected the infrastructure of capital city Lucknow but disrupted the airport and railway operations in multiple districts, and schools had to be closed to ensure the safety of students.
