State Bank of India (SBI) has announced a hike of ₹75 in the annual maintenance charges associated with certain debit cards. The same will be effective from April 1, 2024, as per the information available on the SBI website.

In addition to the annual maintenance charges,
SBI has outlined other fees associated with
debit cards.The issuance charges vary depending on the type of card, ranging from Nil for Classic, Silver, Global, and Contactless Debit Cards to ₹300/+ plus GST for Platinum Debit Cards.
Furthermore, customers should take note of charges for services like debit card replacement (₹300/+ plus GST), duplicate PIN/regeneration of PIN (₹50/+ plus GST), and international transactions.
International transaction charges include ₹25/+ plus GST for balance enquiry at ATMs, a minimum of ₹100/- plus 3.5% of the transaction amount for ATM cash withdrawal transactions, and 3% of the transaction amount plus GST for Point of Sale (PoS)/eCommerce transactions.
All charges mentioned are subject to an 18% GST.
Starting from April 1, 2024, the accrual of reward points on rent payments will be discontinued for some credit cards.
