Mumbai Police registers F.I.R. against Sajjan Jindal for alleged rape after Bombay High Court's order

A 30 year old Mumbai-based doctor has accused industrialist & JSW Group Chairman Sajjan Jindal of rape. The FIR was filed following a court order. Mumbai Police says it is following procedure and investigating the case.

Mumbai Police has registered a First Information Report (FIR) against Sajjan Jindal, the Chairman and Managing Director of JSW Group, which accuses him of rape.
The complaint, filed at Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex Police Station, has been made by a 30 year old Mumbai-based doctor, and alleges that the incident occurred on January 24, 2022 at a penthouse in Jindal’s offices in BKC.
Mumbai Police has booked Sajjan Jindal under IPC 376 (rape), IPC 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), and IPC 503 (criminal intimidation).
