Vishnu Prakash R Punglia Ltd shares gained nearly 3% on Tuesday after the company announced bagging an order worth ₹116.56 crore from North Western Railway.
In a filing to the stock exchanges, Vishnu Prakash R Punglia said that it has secured a Letter of Award (LoA) from the DRM Office of the North Western (NW) Railway in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
As per the project details, the order pertains to the construction of a Foot Over Bridge (FOB) with a width of 12 metres at Barmer, Degana, Merta Road, Balotra, Nokha, Ram Devra, Jalor, Sujangarh, Didwana, Nagaur, Gotan, Ren, Marwar Bhinmal and Phalodi stations over IR tracks.
The construction work will be carried out to provide end-to-end connectivity under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme over Jodhpur Division, the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) firm informed the stock exchanges.
In the quarter ended September 2023, the construction engineering firm’s net profit gained 23% on a year-on-year (YoY) basis to ₹21.25 crore compared to ₹17.27 crore in the same period last year, while its net sales grew by a healthy 21% YoY to ₹296.44 crore from ₹245.72 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.
Shares of Vishnu Prakash R Punglia were trading 0.94% higher at ₹215.85 apiece on BSE at 1:47PM.
