The Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) released mutual fund data for the month of April. The total net equity inflows including equity-linked savings schemes (ELSS) has come in better than expectations at Rs 4,230 crore. However, it is the lowest number since January 2017.
The SIP flow number for the month of April has improved over the month of March. That number stands at Rs 8,238 crore. Balanced funds seems to be in a secular decline, minus Rs 2,100 crore. It is better than the month of March, but it is still a big negative. Equity ETFs is also a big negative. It is minus Rs 4,259 crore compared to Rs 10,540 crore.
