BPCL short-term opportunity, like cement space, says Deven Choksey

Market expert Deven Choksey of KRChoksey believes Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) could create a short-term opportunity for investors to make some money going forward in the next quarter.

“This could be a short-term investment opportunity for the investors who want to trade for one-two quarters,” he said.

Cement business is doing well across the country, he added.

“There is a higher amount of demand coming in from different pockets of the country led by the infrastructure spending by the government, spending on the low-cost housing and also the gradual money coming into the PLI way of expansion by the industry. So from all the perspective, cement becomes relatively a better commodity to predict as far as the upside is concerned. Companies like Shree Cement, Dalmia Bharat, Ramco Cement are relatively stronger plays.”

Choksey also said that “Dalmia Bharat deserves relatively better valuations now,” while also adding that he likes Happiest Minds.

“Our choice at this point of time stays with this company, which is clearer as far as the growth programme is concerned.”
