India’s stock exchanges BSE and NSE will remain closed on Tuesday, October 24, for Dussehra, with trading in the equity, equity derivatives, and securities lending and borrowing (SLB) segments unavailable. The Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) will also remain closed for both morning and evening sessions on all holidays.
Overall, in October, the domestic equity market will remain closed for trading for a total of 11 days, including four Saturdays and five Sundays. BSE opens at 9 am and closes at 3.30 pm, operating normally from Monday to Friday. Located in Mumbai, BSE is the oldest stock exchange in India and the third biggest in the world.
