NBCC Ltd on Monday announced that it has received orders worth nearly ₹180 crore from state-owned steel maker SAIL and an institute in Jammu and Kashmir for construction-related works.
The public sector construction services provider, in a stock exchange filing, stated that it has received an order of ₹150 crore from SAIL’s Durgapur Steel Plant.
The order is for construction and renovation works at the Durgapur steel plant and will be executed over three years, the company informed bourses.
The PSU also announced that it had bagged another order worth ₹29.7 crore from Pt Deendayal Upadhyaya National Institute For Persons With Physical Disabilities (Divyangjan). The work order is for the construction of the permanent building of the Composite Regional Centre (CRC) at Samba, in the Union Territory of J&K, NBCC said in a separate filing.
The completion period is yet to be decided, the company added.
NBCC is a central public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs. It offers value-added construction services.
Last week, the company announced that it had sold a commercial inventory of 2.23 lakh square feet, having a sale value of ₹905.01 crore, at the World Trade Centre, Nauroji Nagar, New Delhi, in an e-auction on December 14.
Of the total sold inventory, 0.43 lakh sqft area having sale value of ₹191.84 crore has been sold to private entities.
The company has sold a commercial inventory of 23.92 lakh sqft through open e-auction having sale value of ₹9,656.62 crore, so far, it said.
Last week, it also received orders of ₹1,500 crore from National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC).
NBCC will construct a total of 1,469 warehouses and other agri-infrastructure under the world's largest grain storage plan in the cooperative sector at various locations across India.
NBCC shares were trading 0.68% higher at ₹82.58 apiece on BSE at 12.27pm.
