Harsha Upadhyaya, President and Chief Investment Officer (CIO) for Equity at Kotak Mahindra AMC expects some growth in the Information Technology (IT) sector in the coming months although it may be too early to project a growth rate.
"The largecap IT companies have not performed as well as the midcap IT companies in the last year or so. Perhaps it's time for the larger ones to catch up, and we feel more confident in largecap IT companies at their current valuations compared to midcap IT companies." Upadhyaya said in a conversation with CNBC-TV18.

In the banking sector also, Upadhyaya sees largecaps having better valuations compared to mid and smallcaps overall.
Among other sectors, Upadhyaya is positive on autos with specific focus on two-wheelers and passenger vehicles than tractors.
"We believe that the auto segment will deliver higher earnings growth than the overall market."
