Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday took a jeep safari inside the Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve in Assam. On his maiden visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Prime Minister first took the elephant safari in the Mihimukh area of the park's Central Kohora Range. Later, he took a jeep safari inside the same range, PTI reported.
The director of the park, Sonali Ghosh, and other senior forest officials accompanied the Prime Minister during his visit.

The Kaziranga National Park is famous for one-horned rhinoceros, while elephants, wild water buffalo, swamp deer, and tigers are also found there.
