Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on October 15, kicked off Navratri with a heartfelt 'garba' composition, extending warm greetings and best wishes for happiness and prosperity to the nation.
Garba dances, a significant part of Navratri festivities, are especially cherished in Gujarat. Expressing his well wishes, he remarked, "May mother Durga, the source of strength, bestow upon everyone a life filled with happiness, prosperity, good fortune, and good health."
The song titled "Maadi" showcases the essence of the Navratri festival, encapsulating the vibrant tapestry of Gujarat's rich traditions through a colourful visual presentation. The song is sung by Divya Kumar, accompanied by the duo Manmeet Singh and Harmeet Singh of Meet Bros, who composed the music for the track.
Reacting to the track, an X user wrote, "A Gujju is incomplete without Garba. Delighted to see you take time out for this beautiful Garba song!!!"
A user on Youtube wrote, “This video has to be one of the most culturally/exhilarating short I have ever seen! The people of India look so happy! Best wishes to PM Modi.”
This is not the first time that PM Modi has penned a song. The PM on Saturday shared the news of a collaboration with singer Tanishk Bagchi and Dhvani Bhanushali, on a garba song, titled "Garbo".
Singer Dhvani Bhanushali took to X to share the news as well.
