According to reports, eight major explosions were heard at the chemical factory in Maharashtra's Palghar before locals reported about the fire.

A massive fire broke out at a chemical factory in Maharashtra's Palghar following series of explosions around 12.30 am on Wednesday. The incident took place in MIDC industrial area in Tarapur area of the district. No one was injured in the fire, which was doused after a five-hour operation around 5.30 am, an official said.

According to reports, the fire broke out at the Premier Intermediate Chemical Company located in the Tarapur industrial estate in Boisar. While there is no confirmation on the cause of the fire, ABP Marathi reported that the blaze might have triggered due to the large stock of flammable substances kept at the factory.
Eight major explosions were heard at the factory before the locals reported about the fire, news agency ANI reported on Wednesday. Three vehicles of the fire brigade reached the spot in an effort to contain the blaze. No casualty has been reported so far.
According locals, thick smoke and flames were seen in the premises and foul smell spread in the area due to the blaze. Reports said locals complained of difficulty in breathing due to the chemical smoke from the factory.
