The Delhi Police have issued a fresh advisory for commuters on the second day of the farmers ‘Delhi Chalo’ protest march. Late Tuesday night, the authorities said that owing to the ‘Delhi Chalo’ march, the farmers may try to move towards the national capital from adjoining states by various means to participate in the protest.
The advisory said that the NH-44 beyond the Singhu Border has been shut for general traffic, while other connected roads towards NH-44 Sonipat or Panipat are also affected. However, 02 lanes of NH-9 and 01 lanes of NH-24 at Ghazipur Border are operational for the general public.
"Because of the ongoing farmers' protest at various borders of Delhi, traffic diversions will be in place," Delhi Police tweeted.
