Delhi court rules against taking Brij Bhushan into custody, citing 'no purpose served at this stage' 

The court granted regular bail to Singh, the main accused of sexually harassing Indian wrestlers and also allowed the bail application of suspended Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) assistant secretary Vinod Tomar. Singh has been forbidden from leaving the country without permission and the next date of hearing has been set for July 28.

A Delhi court order released on Friday said that the allegations of sexual harassment against BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh were "serious," but no purpose will be served by taking him in custody, at this stage.
The court granted regular bail to Singh, the main accused of sexually harassing Indian wrestlers and also allowed the bail application of suspended Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) assistant secretary Vinod Tomar. Singh has been forbidden from leaving the country without permission and the next date of hearing has been set for July 28.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Harjeet Singh Jaspal made the observations in his nine-page order passed on Thursday, which was made available on Friday.
