'There's a direct attack on judiciary,' say some of India's top lawyers

In a letter to the Chief Justice of India, DY Chandrachud, 600 lawyers accuse a 'special interest group', without naming the participants, of trying to defame the judiciary by 'spreading lies' on social media. "These aren't just criticisms; they are direct attacks meant to damage the public's trust in our judiciary and threaten the fair application of our law," the letter said.
