In a major update on the Ahmedabad-Mumbai high-speed rail corridor, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw shared a glimpse of the making of "Bharat’s first ballastless track" for the bullet trains on Thursday.
The J-slab ballastless track system is being deployed for the bullet train project between Maharashtra'sMumbai and Ahmedabad in Gujarat.
Sharing details about the highly-anticipated project, Vaishnaw said that the tracks will have 320 kmph speed threshold. A total length of 153 km of the viaduct has been completed, while the 295.5 km of pier work is also done, he added.
