A recent survey conducted by Lissun, a customer-centric mental health platform revealed that more than 70% of respondents admitted to waiting until advanced stages before seeking expert mental health consultation.
Dr. Krishna Veer Singh, director and co-founder of Lissun in an interview with CNBC-TV18 underscored the startup's commitment to making mental health support more accessible to all individuals.
Singh stated, "Lissun's mission is very simple, to solve mental health at scale. We are trying to solve it by six A's - awareness, acceptance, access, affordability, assurance, and anonymity."
The survey highlighted that over 60% of respondents reported that families still harbour reservations or objections regarding mental health counselling, primarily due to a lack of awareness, acceptance, or the persistent stigma surrounding mental health.
The startup has till now served over 25,000 individuals and aims to double this number within five months.
