Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia will unveil the stainless steel industry’s first green hydrogen project on Tuesday (February 27), established by Jindal Stainless Ltd (JSL) in Hisar, Haryana.

The minister will virtually inaugurate this project, marking a significant milestone for JSL and positioning it as the first stainless steel company in India to operate such a pioneering facility on a commercial scale, as confirmed by officials to news agency PTI.

The green hydrogen project, a state-of-the-art facility, aims to make substantial contributions to carbon emissions reduction, targeting approximately 2,700 metric tonnes per annum and an impressive 54,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions over the course of 20 years, as per insiders, PTI reported.
