As per a Down to Earth report, Cyclone Mocha is unlikely to hit the eastern Indian coast and Bangladesh. Instead, the cyclonic storm is likely to change its route and make landfall in Myanmar as a "severe cyclone" this weekend May 13-14.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a tropical weather outlook for the north Indian Ocean as a cyclonic system is prevailing over the Bay of Bengal. Cyclone Moch is likely to move and intensify into a cyclonic storm by May 10.
As per an IMD update on Monday afternoon, Cyclone Mocha will move toward the central part of the Bay of Bengal and will be over the central part of East Central Bay of Bengal by May 12 morning.
