Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, the biopic on Hindutva ideologue
Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, hit the cinemas on March 22. Directed by Randeep Hooda, who also plays the titular role, the film narrates in detail the key events from Savarkar’s life. The three-hour-long biographical film, upon its release in theatres, received mixed reviews from the audience and critics.
On X, netizens shared their reviews after watching the film and appreciated Hooda's maiden directorial venture.

Despite the favourable social media response, the film witnessed a slow start on Friday. However, positive word of mouth is expected to contribute to the film’s collection in the coming days.
