The much anticipated comic drama ‘The Crew’, featuring actresses Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles, has now got a release date. The movie will hit theatres worldwide on March 29.
The makers of the film on Friday announced its release date with a 34-second teaser. In the video, the three actresses can be seen dressed in red flight crew outfits, while walking at an airport with their backs facing the camera.
With a prelude to the popular 1990s song 'Choli Ke Peeche' being played in the background, the film's teaser starts with the captain's voiceover as he welcomes the passengers onboard, further giving instructions of “Apni choli tightly bandhle taaki dil bahar na gir jaye.”
While the first look of the three leading ladies is yet to be revealed, the teaser has already caught the attention of the fans.
Sharing the teaser video on Instagram, Kareena wrote, "Buckle up, get your popcorn ready, and get ready to be served. #TheCrew releasing in theatres this March!"
Kriti Sanon also shared it on the social media site and wrote, "Clear your calendars, call your friends. This March, you’re flying with the Crew! #ArrivingInCinemasMarch29 Poster and Title announcement soon!"
In the comment section, Karisma Kapoor wrote, "Want to be on this flight."
While Soha Ali Khan said that she "cannot wait" to watch this film, Bhumi Pednekar called it "wild".
'The Crew' will also feature Diljit Dosanjh, while comedian Kapil Sharma will be seen in a special appearance.
The film has been directed by Rajesh Krishnan of 'Lootcase' fame and produced by Rhea Kapoor and Ektaa R Kapoor. 'The Crew' marks the second collaboration between Ektaa and Rhea after the 2018 comedy film 'Veere Di Wedding'.
Kareena was last seen in Sujoy Ghosh's 'Jaane Jaan' alongside Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma, while Tabu appeared in films like 'Kuttey', Ajay Devgn-starrer 'Bholaa' and Vishal Bhardwaj's 'Khufiya' last year.
Kriti Sanon will next be seen in 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya', which also stars Shahid Kapoor. Co-directed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah, the film also features Dharmendra and Dimple Kapadia. It is slated to hit screens worldwide on February 9.
