Employers in India continue to anticipate measured hiring in the December ending quarter with the highest recruiting demand in the information technology (IT) sector followed by transport and logistics and automation, a new report by a staffing firm has found.
IT and the tech sector shall continue to drive the market demand for talent with the highest net employment outlook of 44 percent for the fourth consecutive quarter. However, demand would be 20 percentage points weaker when compared to the corresponding quarter of 2022 and 3 percent less than the previous quarter, according to employment agency firm ManpowerGroup.
As per the report, demand for talent surpasses supply where 81 percent of organisations report difficulty finding the talent they need, a trend observed in most sectors.
