The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to start the registration process for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for Undergraduate (UG) 2024 courses soon. According to a Mint report, the administration will initiate the procedure by February 28, but official confirmation is awaited.
Once the application form to register is available, candidates can access the same on the official website of
CUET UG 2024 at cuet.samarth.ac.in.
According to the recently released official notification, the CUET UG 2024 examination is scheduled to be held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode from May 15 to May 31. However, the time slots to conduct the exam will be different on each date.
CUET UG 2024: Eligibility
According to the notification, there is no age limit to appear for the
CUET UG examination. However, the unreserved candidates registering for CUET UG 2024 are required to have qualified Class 12 with a minimum of 50% marks. Candidates belonging to the reserved category of SC and ST can apply with a minimum of 45% marks in class 12.
CUET UG 2024: How to apply?
Once the registration window to apply for the CUET UG 2024 examination is opened, candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps to register themselves.
Visit the official website of CUET UG 2024 at cuet.samarth.ac.in.
Click on the link ‘CUET UG 2024 Registration’ on the homepage.
Fill out the online application form with relevant details.
Upload the required documents and pay application fees as per the category and subjects selected.
Review the application and click ‘Submit’.
Download the confirmation page and keep a hard copy of the same for future reference.
CUET UG 2024: Exam pattern
According to the previously released notification, the CUET UG 2024 question set will consist of three sections. It will have Section 1A, Section 1B, Section 2, and Section 3. It will have questions from different languages, domain-specific subjects, and general tests as well.
Each question in the set will carry 5 marks, while every incorrect answer will be deducted 1 mark each, and the unanswered question will be given zero marks.
The CUET UG 2024 examination will be in CBT format, offering 13 languages such as English, Hindi, Bengali, Assamese, Odia, Punjabi, Marathi, Gujarati, Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Urdu.
