Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) is beginning the registration process for Sub-Inspector posts from today, October 5. As per the official notification, the last date to apply for the given posts is November 5. Prior to the deadline, candidates can apply online for the vacant posts through the official website of BPSSC at bpssc.bih.nic.in.
According to the notice released on September 30, the commission is conducting the
Bihar Police Sub-Inspector 2023 exam to fill up the 1,275
posts. Out of the total vacancies, 441 posts are for the General category, 275 posts for the SC category, 16 for the ST category, 238 for Extremely Backward Class, 107 for OBC, 82 for female candidates in the backward class category, 111 for the EWS and the rest 5 posts are for the transgender candidates.
Qualification
Candidates applying for the
Bihar Police Sub-Inspector Recruitment 2023 should have completed a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university or an equivalent institution recognised by the state government.
Physical Eligibility
As the job requires physical activity, the candidates are needed to be healthy and fit. Male candidates belonging to the General category are required to have a height of 165 cm and a chest width should be of 81 cm and 86 (after inhaling). Apart from that, other male candidates from OBC, EBC, SC and ST categories should be at least 160 cm tall. However, candidates of OBC and EBC categories should have chest measurements similar to that of General candidates while for the SC and ST categories, the chest measurements should be 79 cm and 84 (after inhaling). Female candidates are required to have a height of 155 cm and a weight of 48 kg.
Age Limit
The minimum age of the male candidates in the General category should be 20 years while the maximum age should be 37 years. The minimum age of the women candidates from the General category should be 20 years and the maximum age should be 40 years.
The minimum age limit is 20 years and the maximum age limit is 42 years for men and women from the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and transgender categories.
