After the government announced the second set of stimulus measures or Atmanirbhar Bharat 3.0. ahead of Diwali, the economic affairs secretary Tarun Bajaj on Friday said the spike in inflation is temporary and it should cool down in the times to come.
In an exclusive conversation with CNBC-TV18's Sapna Das, Bajaj said the government has taken some measures to bring the inflation down and once the new crop comes, it should cool down.
On sovereign bonds, he said, "Presently, we are not considering it. The government has already announced the borrowing program of Rs 12 lakh crore. It was announced in the budget but it has not been carried forward after that."
