GST collections at Rs 94,442 crore in September, higher than August

Revenue collections from Goods and Services Tax (GST) rose to Rs 94,442 crore in the month of September, from Rs 93,690 crore  in August, data released by union finance ministry showed.

Revenue collections from Goods and Services Tax (GST) rose to Rs 94,442 crore in the month of September, from Rs 93,690 crore  in August, data released by union finance ministry showed.
Out of the total collection, central goods and services tax (CGST) was Rs 15,318 crore, state goods and services tax (SGST) of Rs 21,061 crore, integrated goods and services tax (IGST) of Rs 50,070 crore (including Rs 25,308 crore collected on imports) and cess of Rs 7,993 crore (including Rs 769 crore collected on imports).
According to the estimates made in the 2018-19 union budget by the revenue department, the government expects a monthly average of GST collections of Rs 1.15 lakh crore.
