Expect volume CAGR of 10% for next 3-4 years: GSPL’s Sanjeev Kumar

Sanjeev Kumar, Joint MD of Gujarat State Petronet (GSPL), on Tuesday said that they expect to regain volume growth in the coming months.

"We expect that we will be regaining our volume growth in the coming months. Also, the GSPL India Gasnet gas is expected to flow in near future after recent auction. This will add growth momentum to the transmission volumes,” he said in an interview to CNBC-TV18.

He said that the company expects a volume CAGR of 10% over the next 3-4 years.

"We are already laying the Mehsana-Bhatinda pipeline. The work is almost 90% complete and we are going to commission it by June 2021. Phase I has already been commissioned and we are already flowing around 4 mmscd gas in the Mehsana-Bhatinda pipeline. With the completion of phase II, during the first year the volume will ramp up to 9-10 mmscd. In the next 2-3 years, we are expecting the volume will further grow up to 15 mmscd. So, in terms of volumes we are expecting an average CAGR of more than 10% over the next 3-4 years," he said.

Kumar said that EBITDA margins Q3 remained robust at 69% compared to 67% of last year. He also said that they are planning to invest around Rs 2,000 crore plus over the next 3-4 years for enhancing capacity to meet the increase in demand.

He said that the debt currently stands at Rs 1,145 crore and expect to become a debt free company in the next 3-4 quarters.

He also said that LNG prices have started cooling off in Q4 and expects it to slide further.
