Cabinet has approved production-linked incentives (PLI) scheme for 10 sectors and the government may provide incentives of around Rs 1.46 lakh crore over 5 years. Beneficiary sectors include auto, auto component sectors, advance-cell battery, pharma, food products and white goods.
That is a good measure by government, Mayank Shah, Senior Catergory Head at Parle Products said in an interview with CNBC-TV18.
“Given that facility by government or the incentive by government to produce more, we would definitely be looking at taking advantage of the scheme,” he added.
