IBLA 2023 19th Edition: NEPRA recognised for Outstanding Contribution to Climate Consciousness

NEPRA's commitment to dry waste management and recycling, was honoured at the 19th edition of CNBC-TV18's India Business Leader Awards (IBLA), held in Mumbai on December 2, where it received the award for Outstanding Contribution to Climate Consciousness.

For over a decade, 'Let's Recycle', a social enterprise for dry waste management and recycling, stands as a testament to NEPRA Resource Management's commitment in this field.

Founded by Sandeep Patel, Ravindra Patel, and Dhrumin Patel, NEPRA has been a transformative force in dry waste management since 2012.

Through its innovative processes, NEPRA has managed to collect over six lakh tonnes of dry waste via its five recovery facilities across India, repurposing it into valuable resources at its state-of-the-art plastic recycling centre, which has a daily processing capacity of 650 million tonnes.

Its City Level Dry Waste Management model strives to make cities ‘Zero Waste to Landfill.’ The 'Let's Recycle' initiative collaborates with 150 enterprises, actively engages communities that together comprise over 10 lakh citizens, and has created over 10,000 jobs.

Since inception, NEPRA has raised $20 million in funds. Most recently, it raised $18 million in a Series-C round which was led by Aavishkaar Capital and Circulate Capital.

For building an idea into a pan-India movement with a proven record of enhancing the quality of life on the planet, the Jury of the CNBC-TV18 India Business Leader Awards 2023 has had no reservation in recognising NEPRA Resource Management for its "Outstanding Contribution to Climate Consciousness".
