Facebook has denied reports that it is soft on hate speeches. In an interview to CNBC-TV18, India's VP & MD Ajit Mohan refuted Wall Street Journal's reports alleging the company went soft on hate speech to protect business interests.
The Wall Street Journal reported a few months back on an alleged bias in the social media giant's policies, especially favouring the current ruling government.
"Facebook has no room for hate speech and it does not profit from it," Mohan said.
"I spoke out when the first articles came out in September. We're very clear we have to enforce policies as a neutral, non-partisan platform. We see that as an obligation. We know all our stakeholders want us to do that. Clear that we have to enforce our policies without any bias," he added.
