How Is High U.S. Inflation & China's Deflationary Force Impacting EMs Like India? | CNBC TV18

In today's episode of Indianomics, the spotlight is on the goings-on in the two largest economies, the U.S. and China and their impact on Asia and India. The U.S. Consumer Price and The Producer Price data have shocked the financial markets. While the U.S. January CPI numbers came in at 3.1% on a YoY basis vs market expectation of 2.9%, the Producer Price inflation was worse as it rose by 0.3% on MoM basis vs market expectation of 0.1%. Will this make the Fed keep rates higher for longer period than the market anticipated?

On the other hand, there is a growing fear that China is gaining more market share globally and is cutting prices aggressively, thus creating a deflationary force worldwide. How are these changes- an inflationary force in the U.S. and a deflationary force in China- impact an emerging market like India.
