Uttar Pradesh govt, AAI sign lease agreement for Ayodhya airport

The lease agreement pertaining to about 318 acres to build Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport in Ayodhya was signed by the civil aviation department of the Uttar Pradesh government on Thursday in the presence of UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The civil aviation department of the Uttar Pradesh government on Thursday signed a lease agreement with the Airports Authority of India pertaining to about 318 acres to build an airport in Ayodhya. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said the Ayodhya district administration will provide another 86 acres required for the construction of the Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport soon.
He said the state government has already sanctioned and made available the entire amount required for the purchase of the land to the district administration. We will also help ensure better connectivity and the development of Ayodhya in a time-bound manner, he said.
