Noida International Airport to be open by end of 2024, says CEO

Christoph Schnellmann, CEO of Noida International Airport, said that the project will be open by the end of 2024. The first phase of the airport was to be delivered within three years of the commencement, which commenced in October 2021.

If all goes well, the Noida International Airport in Jewar will be thrown open by the end of 2024. Christoph Schnellmann, chief executive officer of the Noida International Airport, confirmed the same and said the project was on schedule. He said once operational, the airport would provide a capacity of over 12 million passengers annually. He said the terminal design would showcase the rich heritage of India.
Schnellmann also expressed his confidence to be able to deliver Airport's infrastructure with the sanctioned funding of Rs 5730 crore.
According to him, trials will begin in four to six months before handing it over. "We will begin with simple trials & test of individual systems." he said.
